Dear Friends: This year we have continued operations in Bosnia, and have helped start some new projects in Venezuela. However, the bulk of our work this year has been in Romania. Unfortunately, with the current suspension of international adoptions from Romania, the dwindling orphanage population has again mushroomed, and the ratio of caregivers to children has again worsened. Vivi Iliescu continues to represent us very ably in our Romanian ventures, and provides critically important support, as we bring education, health care, and humanitarian aid to the needy children of her country. Thank you for your continued support. It is hard for me to condense the emotions of the last 12 months into a few pages for you, but I want you to know what your generosity has given needy children. Here is a peek at some of the efforts from this past year. In Hope and Peace for children, Elaine MacEwen Yourtee |
